The people in charge of the Barstool Sports podcast “Pardon My Take” got on an NFL conference call Thursday to ask some important questions.
Barstool Sports crashed the NFL’s conference call Cheap Jerseys 90 and proposed replacing PATs with a greased-up Andy Reid climbing the goal posts.
The conference call was for media members to ask questions about the competition committee and potential upcoming rules changes. The PMT duo of Dan Katz and PFTCommenter asked about removing extra points and also about removing the “Sr.” from players’ jerseys because all it does is promote the fact the player had sex.
Barstool Sports made headlines last month when it was revealed the NFL revoked media credentials to any member of the site after a stunt they pulled a few years ago. The stunt involved them being at the NFL offices demanding Tom Brady not be suspended. They were arrested as a result of the incident.
In November, Bautista rejected a one-year qualifying offer from the Jays worth $17.2 million but didn’t find many suitors since, in part because of his high asking price and the deep power-hitting market. However, the Blue Jays were eager to retain the franchise icon, especially after losing first baseman Edwin Encarnacion.
Bautista, who has hit above .300 only once in his career, played in only 116 games in the final year of a six-year, $78 million contract with the Blue Jays. He hit .234/.366/.452 with 22 home runs and 69 RBIs.
